1. Reserve it with a deposit

You’ll place a deposit to secure your beef share.

Once your share is ready, you’ll receive an email and pay the remaining balance.

1/16, 1/8, and 1/4 shares are fulfilled/picked up monthly, while 1/2 shares (standard or custom cut) are fulfilled quarterly.

2. Freezer Space

To store your beef comfortably, here’s a rough guide to the space you’ll need:

• 1/16 Beef (~25 lbs): 1 cu. ft.
• 1/8 Beef (~55 lbs): 1.5-2 cu. ft
• 1/4 Beef (~110 lbs): 3-4 cu. ft
• 1/2 Beef (~220 lbs): 7-9 cu. ft.

We recommend a chest or upright freezer with a little extra room to keep your meat organized and properly frozen.

3. Customizing Your Cuts

Shares (other than 1/2 beef) come with a standard cut plan to make things simple while still giving you all the popular cuts perfect for everyday meals and special occasions. Half shares offer a standard cut option or custom options (with fee), choose steak thickness, roast size, and bone-in or boneless preferences. We’ll coordinate with our processor to make sure your preferences are followed.

4. Packaging

All beef is vacuum-sealed and individually labeled by cut, making it easy to organize and portion. It’s flash frozen to lock in freshness and can safely stay in a standard freezer for at least a year, though in our own experience, properly stored beef can last for years without losing quality.

5. Pickup & Delivery

Currently, we offer convenient pickup at:

• Louisa, Virginia (Farm pickup)
• Marshall, Virginia (more convenient for Northern Virginia customers)

Monthly pickup schedules are flexible to fit your routine. Delivery options may be added in the future.

6. Quality & Safety

Our beef is not USDA inspected by choice. We partner with a trusted local processor regulated by Virginia state authorities, allowing for better quality control, packaging, and communication. All meat meets strict cleanliness and food safety standards.
